Background
Seeds Of Peace is a movement that has been founded in 1993 by John Wallach, a reporter of middle-east issues at the time, who worked in the area for 30 years.
Together with Barbara (Bobbie) Gottchalk (Vice President) and Tim Wilson (Camp Director) and the will to change the spirit of things in the Middle East, they established a movement which its purpose is to bring kids from all over the middle east together, so they will live together and get to know each other face to face, a thing they cannot do back in their homes. SOP's main office is located in New York city, and it's runned by John Wallach and Meredith Katz.

    Inside the camp
The kids in camp go through a lot of experiences together - from Sport activities as Baseball and Basketball to Water-Ski and Canoe;

A Rafting Trip (Tamer Soliman)
The campers also go through Co-Existence sessions, in which they talk about the Peace Process, the problems in it and each side's opinion about the Peace Process, bombings, Hammas and other Middle-Eastern issues.
The SOP camp is located in Maine, like a lot of camps in the US, in a town called Otisfield and it has a wonderful lake next to it, and beautiful green forests surrounding it.

    Out-Of-Camp Activities
If you think that the camper's activity in SOP starts and ends in the camp - you are wrong!
Campers are only starting their activity for Seeds Of Peace in the summer-camp, and they continue with it throughout many years.
1st of all, they write to SOP's Newspaper, "The Olive Branch", which is runned by Ned Lazarus , which is also responsible for out-of-camp activities in the Middle East.
In the stories and reports that the campers write there are personal stories about handling with the situation back in their homes, jokes, personal messages, songs, and reports of activities that the campers do for SOP.  If you want to get an issue, just press on the one of the Links above.
More activities that the campers do after the camp in Maine are presentations of SOP and its' purpose and ideals to classes in their countries, to kids that didn't get to have such an event and development in their lives as the Campers did.
